Giving Tuesday
Each year during the holiday season, the global generosity movement called Giving Tuesday provides people and organizations with the opportunity to transform their communities by helping others. This year, Giving Tuesday is Nov. 28, and the T.D. Jakes Foundation, T.O.R.I., and United MegaCare will be linking arms to lift up those in need. From empowering tomorrow’s workforce to providing critical disaster relief to helping Texas’ formerly incarcerated successfully reenter society, we can accomplish so much more when we do it together. Your donation can make a lasting impact this Giving Tuesday.
T.D. Jakes Foundation provides skills, education, and training to lift underserved communities and power the modern global economy. Your donation to TDJF will support our STEAM Academy, providing transformational science, technology, engineering, art, and math education to students and furnishing the resources they need. You will also benefit our Broadway Experience for Kids, giving young people the opportunity to see Broadway productions and exposing them to the theater arts.
The mission of the Texas Offenders Reentry Initiative is to guide and empower returning citizens to maximize their potential, increasing their opportunities for successful reintegration into society and to become productive citizens of their communities. After prison, people struggle with jobs and housing. Your donation helps give returning citizens a fresh start.
Since 1997, United MegaCare has served vulnerable communities and the disadvantaged locally, nationally and globally. UMC is our community and global outreach initiative. Your donation will be used to fund life-saving disaster relief efforts, supply healthy food in underserved communities, and empower individuals through financial education workshops.
